In the town of Hydra there are no cars and it will impress you with its old stone mansions of captains, the ramparts and the cannons at the entrance of the harbor, and all of its historic monuments with their traditional architecture. From the mansions that stand out in the island are those of Miaoulis Kountouriotis Tombazis, Voulgaris and Voudouris. In the center of the harbor, you will see the historic monastery of the Assumption of the Virgin, which today is the cathedral of the island. Also worth visiting is the monastery of Prophet Elias while you will be able to enjoy its magnificent view.
